Marwan is an accomplished expert in the film, animation, and visual effects industries with over 20 years of experience. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Technology and a Master's degree in Global Film & TV from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. Throughout his career, Marwan has worked for several production companies in Iraq, Jordan, and the United States. He started his career as the head of the graphics and editing department at various TV stations before joining a Jordanian film TV channel. Later, he worked as an animation/previsualization leader at Rubicon Animation Studios, where he worked on several notable projects, including the global 3D animation TV series "Ben and Izzy," a joint production with MGM that starred Mark Hamel, Lucie Lu, and Clancy Brown. Additionally, Rubicon produced the Pink Panther season 5. In 2012, Marwan moved to the United States and worked as a writer, producer, and director at Xpand, an advertising agency in Portland, Oregon. During his time there, he created several TV commercials for major clients such as Nike, Intel, and AT&T. In 2014, Marwan began his teaching career in the USA, lecturing on film production, post-production, and animation at various universities. Later that same year, he received an offer from Expression College of Art to teach in the art of cinema and animation. Marwan moved to San Francisco, California, to work as a teacher in three departments of the university: film production, visual effects, and animation. After his teaching stint at Expression College of Art, Marwan returned to Jordan in 2016 to work at LTUC-SAE as the head of the film production department, where he still holds this position today, having supervised the graduation of over 700 young men and women in the film industry. In addition to his work in film and education, Marwan has also produced and directed a reality TV show about peace and coexisting in Iraqi society called "Salam Shabab." The show, which was a co-production with USIP and Sesame Workshop, ran for three seasons. Marwan's extensive experience and success in the industry make him a versatile and sought-after expert in the film, animation, and visual effects industries.
